Data Roaming

Okay, so I went to Canada 2 weeks ago. Before I went I turned off Data Roaming. As I cross the border I get a text message from Verizon saying I will be charged for Data Roaming. I did not hit the Internet at all. The next day I checked with Verizon and they said I used 438 mb. I told them the situation and they even checked my settings to verify Data Roaming was off. The Manager said that should not happen and he applied a credit to my account. I told him I am going to Canada again and he said if it happens again come back in. I went to Canada Saturday and went thru the same thing, 451mb. My question is do you think this is a Verizon issue or a Motorola Droid X issue.

Thanks

You can just go into the programming menu and turn off data calls. You dial ##program send. The code is 000000. Choose data call settings, uncheck the box.
