My D2G has a max capacity of 1000 text messages, and then they disappear one by one. Is there any way that I can make it archive all of them? Any apps or settings?

Thank you!

In the sms app go to settings and look through till you find the setting for deleting messages. Change it to never

What I did is just rooted and uninstalled the stock sms app, then use go sms instead. now i keep 1669 messages in one thread...just remember to go to gosms settings-important tips and check "stock sms uninstalled" before using it.

Damn 1000 texts limit? My rokr e8 could store 10k lol. That's one thing that bugs me tho. How could my old phone hold more texts then a smartphone? Well I don't have texting on this phone actually but still lol.
