D2G noobie with questions

Hello all, I recently just switched from the OG to the D2g. I just rooted, and am interested in flashing a custom rom (for performance, i.e. no blurbloatware) with a sexy theme. I've never used a custom rom before, only the blue energy theme...it was a sexy theme, I am looking for something similar...or something that makes my UI not look so vanilla. Essentially I don't know what the difference is between Git R done, Fission (?, I have seen D2G'ers throw that term out), and if any themes or roms from other phones are compatible

I would be grateful for any suggestions..thanks

Try liberty 1.5. Its a great rom and there are a bunch of themes to choose from.

U have to use the romer too but I here the sensors don't work u have to turn it off or it will reboot or something like that

I would be pretty sure it would work on the D2G as all thats diff between the D2 and the D2G is the internal radio cdma/gsm and a sim card right?
