boot logo generator compatibility

Will using the sbf generated by this boot logo generator work with a D2G, or is it not compatible?

Uhh, if that program generates a custom SBF for the D1 with a new boot logo... I'd imagine not, no.

Uhh, yes, that is what it says that that program does...

But I can't find anywhere that explicitly says that it will not work for the D2G.

an SBF file is a one off file that is specific to each type of phone, it's all the preloaded software/UI stuff that comes on the phone from the factory. Even ROMs that work on the D2 don't work on the D2G. You shouldn't even consider something like that.

That thread says that the SBF file contains only the boot logo, and not the rest, but I guess the creator of the program was wrong.
