D1 update

I've been looking over the threads and cant seem to get a definitive answer regaurding the update for the D1 . Will I lose root , and if so is there a rooted version of this update available ?

If you have a custom recovery installed and you accept the OTA it will be blocked and the notification will go away. If you don't have a custom Recovery installed and you accept it, it will break root and possibly mess your phone up.

If you want to just be stock rooted, follow link 4 in my sig to unroot, then accept the OTA, the re-root using link 3 in my sig

I use ROM Manager and have the clockwork mod recovery . Will this recovery do as you said above and block the update ? Also I believe that I am just stock rooted . All I've done is themed my phone .

Yes you will lose just as I did. I was rooted using z4root which for now doesn't work. I used superoneclick I downloaded from xda onto a PC. Plugged in my Droid, clicked unroot first then root and I was back in business.

How did you root?

I did it the hard way with rsd lite then flashed a rooted version of frg22d

Well I decided to give it a try and clockwork mod worked like clockwork and blocked the update. Thanks for the help and advise .
