According to a Tweet from cvpcs last night: "Might start looking into CM for DX this week. We'll see how it goes." For those unfamiliar with cvpcs, he'd released Obsidian for the Droid X prior to joining the CM team not long ago.
Im excited for this, but I wonder just how much is going to be left of what makes CM the rom that it is, considering he's stuck with a stock Motorola 2.6.32.9 kernal since the kexec exploit by @aliasxerog isn't done yet.
Cyanogen or the bootllader bypass?
Cyanogen would need to be compiled with D2 support for the CM repos.
Aliases kexec and initx would also need to be compiled for it. Right now when we release an RC of the kexec module it is just the source tarball, and currently it supports being compiled for nexus s as a testing ground and the Droid x. It will be ported to other phones, especially considering alias ported it from the milestone project.
