Evleaks, a twitter account known for releasing spot on specs and photos of devices prior to release, have put out a "leaked" image of a customization service for the Verizon Galaxy S4. In the picture you can see that there are options to customize the backplate of the device with a custom logo from a partnered brand name (Kid Robot, KAWS, Undefeated, and Kring). There is also an option to build your very own custom wallpaper. There may be other software customizations. There is said to be a website in the works to make all of this a pretty simple process. Most people hold on to a device for more than a year. Why not have a device that looks as great as it functions.
Do you see the value in adding a brand name to your device? Would this kill the resale value? What are your thoughts on individual phone customization?
