Credential Password

My wife just got her Dinc yesterday, it is still on 2.1 so there is no password to unlock option like I have on my 2.2 Droid, can anyone tell me what exactly the Credential Storage Password does? It is located in settings/location & security all the way at the bottom...on both my Droid and her Dinc

She keeps a lot of valuable information on her device and this missing feature is a much needed asset

When we were developing Web apps we passed credentials between the server and the client to keep variables and active. Not sure if this is the same. Your post is the first that I have read regarding credentials.

Thanks Mike, I kind of figured it had something to do with connecting to a secured server of some sort.

We just need the official 2.2 for the DI and all will be good
