I'm trying to create a shortcut that will launch Navigation to a specific address, and every page I can find on this says to long press on the home screen, select Shortcuts, and then select Directions and Navigation.

The problem is that there is no "Directions and Navigation" option in the menu. There's a Navigation option, but that just creates a shortcut to the Navigation app.

Does anyone know how to access this option on the Droid 4? Is this some sort of Motoblur bogosity?

Never mind. Found the answer in the DX2 forum. Need to select Shortcuts->App Actions->Directions and Navigation.

I used it for getting to two of my most common places from wherever my job takes me. Handy action.
