CPU settings?????

I'm using bamf rc4 and noticed a lag from sleep once in a while and downloaded setcpu (haven't used since my froyo bugless beast days ) and noticed I can set the speed in setcpu to anything I want but if I go over 1.2 in the bamf toolkit I get reboots . So my question is which settig takes precidence over the other toolkit or setcpu?

I actually had this question too. It seems to run pretty fast with the tool kit option, however I do not want to test with setcpu as I do not want to run two like type programs at once.
