I'm have an interesting problem with my droid. After rebooting the phone I get about 50% cpu usage on the email app with a pid of 1232 for about 5 minutes or so and sometimes longer. During this time the phone becomes very sluggish not wanting to respond to touch commands and such. This will happen every now and then during the day while using the phone. The app appears to be the corporate email application. I do use that app to sync with my work's email and calendar, set to sync hourly. I do not understand why it is taking so long to sync and why it is using so much cpu to complete the sync. Is this normal and what can I do, short of disabling syncing to my exchange server, to correct this problem?
BTW the exchange server is not really and exchange server it is zimbra emulating exchange. Don't know if that makes any difference.
