Check you address at Address to see what channels are in your range. Afterwards I'd try something like Amazon.com: ANTV Digital Amplifier Indoor TV Antenna 50 Miles Range 360 Degree Reception with Table Stand and 10ft Coaxial Cable: Kitchen & Dining and if it doesn't work you can always return it.

Myth: an amplified antenna will get you more range. An amplified antenna only increases the strength of the signal AFTER it reaches your antenna. It doesn't make the antenna suddenly have better "reach".

It's true but advantage is that you can always try amplified with or without amplification and see which one picks up more channels in which area. It always varies mostly due to tv tuners. Another plus for amplified is that you can set it up in the attic and run long cable to main junction. Amplifier version will help signal distribution through out the house.

Does no one here use flat antennas to receive over the air HD channels? I have them on 5 tvs in the house and we get about 20-30 channels(abc, NBC, Fox, CBS, ion, cw, PBS) like that on each TV. Plus the antennas are dirt cheap.

I do. I get 13 channels in crystal clear HD....coupled with my FireTv & a paid Netflix and Prime acct, I'm good to go!

I guess there's a downside to where you live and the beautiful scenery you have there...I think you win, though. TV isn't everything!

Hey cr6, how are you doing? Glad you've got your tv all set. We pay$200/month for cable and our kids have "unplugged" their houses. But we have to get the 3-5 year old grandkids to turn the TV on fire is whenever we babysit. Then they laugh at us..Nani- how come your can play with your phone and not be able to turn on the TV? Good question!
