How do I copy and paste text on the droid 1?
Simple. Here are the instructions from copying/pasting from one text box to another: do a LOOOONNNGGG press on the text you want to copy, and a context menu will pop up. Scroll around the choices (sometimes copy, cut, paste, etc., are not near the top of the options) and select copy. Then hop on over to the spot where you want to insert the text (e.g., search window, URL box, etc.) and do a long press again. Select paste. Voila (often misspelled as viola, which is a musical instrument).

Alternatively, once you have your text selected, you can use menu+c (to copy), menu+x (to cut), and menu+v (to paste) on the hardware keyboard.

Or slide out the keyboard, hold shift and select text with your finger, then just release.
