Contacts "A to Z" only shows "Favorites"

I've been trying to figure this out by myself. When I press the contact button on the bottom left of my home screen it only shows 3 contacts listed as favorites. I can scroll to history. but cannot seem to list all of my contacts from a to z. If I go to the dialer I can see all of my contacts. Any idea why I can't see them in the A to Z list?

PS: I am not using facebook contacts.

Contacts->Menu->Display Group->All contacts
