Connect Bionic to car speakers

When I had my Droid (original), I could connect the phone to my car speakers using the earphone connection on the phone. I could make calls and listen to the other party thru my car speakers. I tried this with my Bionic using the same cable to connect but it doesn't work. Any suggestions?

I use Bluetooth to connect to my car speakers. Even turns the radio off when a call comes in.

I use a cassette adapter and it works, it's worked on my thunderbolt too. Are you using a cassette adaptor or AUX cable?

Use mine on Honda Accord using cable from aux jack to Bionic headphone jack, works great.

Have you tested your ear phone connection?
Have you checked your media volume?
Have toy checked your radio volume?
Have you checked mute?
Have you done a reboot?

...we will start there....answer those.

does your headphone jack work w/ headphones plugged into them instead of the cable going to your car? If not, then I would call up VZW and get a replacement. If it does work w/ headphones, try a different cable. I use mine on a daily basis for listening to music on my commute home using the same cable I used w/ my D1.
