Comprehensive Search

I just came from an iphone to droid x ---
one thing i love about the iphone is the ability to search your whole phone for one thing

i.e like searching for something and it would show songs, emails , texts, contacts......anything on the phone that matched that term

is this doable on a droid x ?

I believe so, just hit the search key on the front of the phone (or long press it to get voice search).

Try the "Searchify" app in Market. It searches just about anything on the phone. I love it and there are a few others that do the same thing.

The Native Search Function "Google Search" also searches contacts - at least it does on my Droid - I would also suggest the app that M/D brought up as it searches your entire device for keywords

ok i figured it out....on the google search bar there is a drop down and you can select music, contacts, google, searchify ...etc
