Clock while in Car Dock?

Hi Guys,

Just got my droid a few weeks ago and still getting used to things. Loving it so far, much better than my blackberry.

Anyway I do love the navigation app, but I do not need to use it all the time. My Civic does not have a clock, so I think it would be nice to use the droid in the dock as a clock.

A few times I have sucessfully got it to stay on the lock screen with the clock to the left using keepscreen ( I have carhome and clock activated). But sometimes, it does not want to work and the screen times out.

Is there a way to achieve this? A setting I am missing, or a new navigation home screen that might have a clock on it? Has anyone else had this idea?

O, and I do realize the factory clock is in the top right of the screen, but I would like much larger font.

Thanks!!

Clock and much more in Car Dock

There's an app in the Market called "Car Dock v2". I have no affiliation with the application other than that I used it for a bit. It can use any widget or application. You set up the layout of the screen - 6 icons per screen (think it's 4 screens) and it auto loads just like Car Home when you put the phone in the dock.

Alternatively you could try using (Lite) Setting Profiles and set it up so that when in the car dock, the screen timeout is set to never, and the Dockrunner (or other clock) app is started.
