Well after approx ten days my replacement d2 bit it. Screen stopped working.

I got a new one in the mail and need to send the old one in. Any ideas how I can clear the data without a screen before I return it. I feel uncormfortable returning a phone without clearing the data.

uncomfortable as in...because its rooted or has a rom? If that's the reason I don't think you should worry. I sent in a phone that I bricked and I didn't have a problem.

Yeah but with the screen not working he'll never be able to tell he's on the bootloader. The droid 2 sbf will put the phone into the boot loader automatically. Just use rsd if you can figure out how to get the phone into pc mode and flash away. Other than that without a working screen I have no other ideas on how to reset the phone

Should take less than 30 seconds to boot into the bootloader from the time you power the phone on. Unless the D2 is radically different than my Droid 1. :)
