CyanogenMod users have had to suffer with the inability to Chromecast! Until now any attempts to cast video or images to your Chromecast from a device with CyanogenMod installed resulted in a black screen. The bug was present when using many Google apps including Google photos and some other third party apps.
The bug has finally been squashed. Apparently the bug was present thanks to a single line of code. The fix is finally present in nightly builds. You can finally run Cyanogenmod and enjoy ChromeCasting!
