Anybody else getting this issue with the Market version of Chrome to Phone that was just released. It will download, but I get a message that the installation was unsuccessful.

Not sure if this is a Sapphire issue or not. I'm running Sapphire 1.0.

Thanks!

Do you have a version of chrome to phone that came with your rom? If so you will need to remove the version in system first before installing the market one.

i think the version of CTP in sapphire was the old one, where the icon had the arrow next to the phone instead of the chrome logo, right? just delete the apk in the /system/app folder and you should be ok.

/edit

eh, i still get installation unsuccesfull.

It won't let me delete the app the "normal way" and it won't let me delete from /system/app using Astro, either!

I cleared data and did a force stop.

Yes, It was the old one that is in there.

you need root access to delete from system, so root explorer would work or terminal window.

A couple of us in IRC are getting installation unsuccessful as well. Not sure what the issue is at present.

Ok remove from /data/data and /system/app, make sure to remount as ReadOnly. Then reboot, finally worked for me after trying for a while

What would be the proper delete command for this in terminal?

Thanks.

I appreciate your help, PDroid, but I get rm failed for /system/app/ChromeToPhone.apk. Read-only file system.

Do I need to change the attributes first and if so, what would be that command. Would purchasing root explorer make this easier?

Thanks again.

Rebooting now. Will try to install form Market again. Thanks, everyone!
