check out appbrain.com... lets you sync your phone to the site, so you can browse the market on your computer, and sync to your phone... much easier and many more apps.....

I have about 130 apps on my Droid. When my wife got her Droid a couple of weeks ago, I used appbrain.com to select a subset of those 130 to load onto her phone. The only app I had to load independently for her was Swype. Otherwise, it simplified the entire configuration process for her phone immensely.

pretty awesome, thanks!

edit: does each app have to be installed individually? I queued up 4 installs on my phone, hoping they would be automatic once I hit the "perform all tasks" button but it just takes me to the market.

Yes, they have to be installed individually. But while that may appear to be a PITA, it's unavoidable without considerably more control over your phone than the website has (and probably you want it to have.)

Another point to consider is that I always make it a point to open an application immediately after installing it to be sure it is actually operative. Many apps are not since they require configuration before they can work. If the installation were automated (as I agree would be convenient) there might well be problems with related apps, i.e. an app that requires another app to be in place in order to operate. (e.g. skins.)

At least you'll find that if you've installed the appbrain app on your phone and synchronize periodically as you install, the website will reflect what you've installed.

I found that very useful when I had to install 35 applications at once on my wife's phone.

Thanks, either way its a pretty cool app/website. I just got done creating a few lists for stuff that I always want to have installed.

agreed, i still wish there was a way to sort the apps by rating though.

edit: is there a way to queue up all (or selected) apps that you had in a list or do you have to queue them up manually too?
