Charging staus change- notify and/or ringtone?

My old non-smart phone would give me an extremely clear indication that it had been put on charge or taken off.
Plug in: "CHARGING" doo-beep!
Pull plug: "CHARGE OFF" bee-doop!

The indicators are so small on my Droid that I have to pay close attention and use my brain in order to know whether or not I'm successfully on charge.

Anyone know of a way to get a clear and positive indicator of a change to charging status?
All the battery apps I've seen just give you charge level.
