changes to my phone after updates

after a couple of updates including maps, my gmail does not auto push to my phone. I have to go in and hit update to get emails. how can I get back to the way it was when emails were automatically pushed to my phone. Any help would be much apprecitated. Thanks

I have this problem too. It gets a lil annoying to manually go into gmail and refresh it to get mail.

I don't know if this will help, but I had the same problem and I had to go in to menu / settings / accounts & sync to tell my phone to sync again. No idea why it turned that off in the first place.
