Change email inbox color scheme?

Coming off a Balckberry and loving my new Droid X. However, the default color scheme for your Inbox is blue text, black background. Pretty strange choice for readability, esp. when outside. There is a reason white background with black text is usually used. I cant see a way to change that. Locked in with that?

Dont want to go to 3rd party app just for that but may need to ....

Have you found a solution to this? I'm also trying to change the email colors.

Sort of, I went with Touchdown for my email. Shame I had to do that.
