Cell phone dummie!

Greetings all and hello from Baltimore! Looking for some assistance. A total tech newbie here. I'm looking to learn about sd cards. I understand the basics I think. It's pretty much added storage for my phone, right? If someone could direct me to posts or links to learn all the ins and outs about using them, it would be greatly appreciated! Tried searching the forum and I pretty much end up with a headache with all the information provided. LOL What I'm specifically wanting to do is save text messages. Thanks to all in advance!

Did your phone come with an SD card? If so, download the app SMS Backup Restore and set it up. Read the instructions on app. Using this for years....
