Case recommendations?

Just activated my new dinc2 tonight ... first smartphone purchase and I am definitely wowed (but also still trying to figure it all out).

What case would you recommend / have you bought to protect yours? I am mostly concerned about protecting the touchscreen; the Otterbox Commuter looks like the best option out of what I have seen so far, but appreciate any perspectives from those who bought it (or those who have come across a better choice).

Thanks in advance for your suggestion.

On my Incredible1 & Tbolt (for the short time I had it) I went with Steinheill screen protector & Verizon's black hard silicon skin. Their skin is what's known as a TPU (Thermo PolyUrethane) silicon skin, which is like a flexible plastic. It feels like a snap on hard case, but stretches just enough to go on the phone. Also, even though it's slicker than a standard silicon skin, it's actually less slippery in the hand and doesn't attract lint as much as a regualr silicon one.

Verizon & Steinheill haven't released similar products for the Incredible2, SH has no screen protectors for it & Verizon has a regualr silicon skin. Places like HTCPedia.com have HTC branded TPU skins, but in day glow colors like red, purple & blue. I wanted a black TPU skin so I went to ebay. I had to search quite a bit to find what I wanted, but got a TPU skin for $6 & a screen protector (2 actually) for $3. When I bought products like that for my previous phones I paid anwhere from $12-20 for the skin, & $15 for SH's screen protector. I'm happy with the quality & the price.

The only thing is, make sure you read the item descriptions CAREFULLY on ebay. Some I thought were what I wanted ended up being something entirely different form the item title. Also as always with ebay, check the seller's feedback. I don't buy from anyone with a rating of less than 99.6. Hope that helps.

I tried the Otterbox Commuter case for my DInc2 and didn't like it. The polycarbonate shell was slippery, and the silicone was a fuzz & dust magnet. Further, the plug for the headphone jack wouldn't stay in. I returned it and got a Body Glove snap-on case, which I love. When I got it a couple weeks ago, it was only available direct from Body Glove, so it was $29.99 IIRC. Soon you'll be able to get it at a discount elsewhere, perhaps Amazon. When I had my LG Vortex, I managed to get the same Body Glove case for it from Verizon for ~$16.00.

I ordered the Case-Mate Gelli and liked it a lot...unfortunately they sent me the case for the original Dinc but they quickly corrected the error at no charge and the case for the Incredible S/2 is in the mail.

The case was very rigid. It's not a hard case but it's not a soft case either. Not many reviews for it but reviews on versions for other phones have been very good. Reasonable price and free shipping.

My wife didn't like the clearish color so I ordered for her a Basal S Line Wave TPU case. The Gelli is harder than the TPU case.

I have the Ottobox Defender..I lvoe it cause it protects the phone really well and it has a built in screen protector but it's too dang bulky...especialyl for my profession (banking). So I went ahead and purchased this one:

Droid Incredible 2 case review: Mobi Products Hard Shell | Android Central

I LOVE THIS CASE..it's slim, feels great and the material on the otuershell is grippy/rubbery but is a hard snap case.

Along with this, I purchased an Empire screen protector:
