i purchased this mount for about $7 including shipping.

it fits the droid quite nicely, vertically that is. no horizontal mounting option unfortunately. I purchased it with making a DIY casette deck mount in mind. i actually like it mounted on my vent. the cables are a bit of a nuissance, but they will be for any mount. if you aren't planning on mounting your droid horizontally, this is a good option imo. it is flexible in case you ever get a case. the best setting is with the wide flaps all the way out and add the rubberized backing that is intended for the ipod nano. gives a very snug fit and the droid will not move at all even if upside down.
