cant overclock!!!!

i am running apex 1.3.1 rom and cannot overclock. i tried both dx overclocking apps in the market and when i try to over clock or even try a lower voltage the phone reboots. i just bought my gf a mytouch 4g and with a custom rom was able to overclock it to 1.7 and it is the fastest phone i have ever seen now. im so jealous!!! does anyone know what problem i am having?

not all dx's can overclock. although I'm surprised that ANY change is causing you to reboot, it's feasible that your processor wasn't the pick of the litter.

When the overclock app came out I was able to overclock and had it running on 1.1 for a while. Then after I wiped to go to a custom rom nothing and been having problems ever since with that

might not have the correct module. AFAIK, jrummys is the only OC one that had the correct one for 2.3.340
