Can't Download Apps

Well for a couple weeks now I have not been able to update any of my apps when they want to update and I can't download any. Anyone have any suggestions? Whenever I try and update them I just get an orange triangle with an exclamation mark in the top of my home screen.

Go into settings>manage applications>market, then clear data and cache. Also, make sure there's room on your sd card if that's where they install.

Ok so I did that but now when I download the updates it doesn't really do anything but just keep saying downloading it doesn't even give me a percentage complete.

Restart your phone while holding X. When the '!' in the triangle appears, press search/magnifying glass, then the down volume key. Wipe cache there, then reboot.

I do not understand what you mean by restart your phone while holding X.

Power on the phone while holding X on the keyboard.

Ok I did that but when the ! in the triangle shows up and I press the search button, nothing happens my phone is like froze on the ! in the triangle with the little green guy.

Press the down volume key instead of the search button.

Pressing the down volume key on the side of the phone does nothing.

Try both volume buttons then once the triangle appears. Apparently like the Droid 2, the Globals key press for recovery changed after the "upgrade" to Gingerbread.
