Can't access my droid 4 pic library after upgrade

My husband recently upgraded my droid 4 phone for me and now I can't access my picture library. (plus I hate the black look with white letters but that's another question to be saved for later I guess) but as far as opening up my library, a pop-up window says "unfortunetly, my gallery has stopped" help?

Welcome to Droid Forums. Have you tried clearing data on the gallery?

If not, go into Settings > Manage Apps (or something similar) > All > look for the gallery and select it. Once you do there should be an option to clear data and another to force close, try both and see if it helps.
