Cannot reinstall CityID in order to get 2.2 OTA

I too cannot get this apk to install. I dont understand

I too had the same issues with CityID.apk It has to do with the permissions on the .apk file. You need to make them executable to install.

For as much time as is being invested in getting this dx back to stock trying to figure out the missing link...just dl rsdlite 4.8 and the sbf. Do the sbf, it's one shot, on kill back to stock. Takes 15 minutes. Back to root same day.

Sorry to bring up an old dead thread, but I did the same thing. I rooted, installed Titanium Backup and backed up all my files. I uninstalled City ID thinking I could reinstall it using titanium. Nope.

I found the City ID.apk online and installed it. It shows up as a downloaded app. I got root explorer and changed all the permissions on it and no luck. I can't get it to show up as a System app. Another thing I found out is that it is very hard to find the installed City ID file. So hard that I have to use Root Explorer to search for the word "City". Any help guys?
