Cannot Receive Texts on Rubix 1.9.5

I did as many forum searches as I could think of but I can't find anyone else who is having this problem.

Yesterday I installed 1.9.5 and now I can't receive texts.

I can make and receive calls, and send texts. Just not receive them.

I did:

-From 1.8.6
-maderstcok 2.3.340 update: http://www.droidforums.net/forum/droid-x-rooted-help/112152-maderstcok-ota-2-3-340-update-zip.html#post1149917
-activate phone
-z4root
-Boostrap
-clear Data/Cache/Battery/Dalvik
-install 1.9.5 zip

I have tried stocking messaging, handcent, and chomp. Nothing works.

Any suggestions?

You did the upgrade just like I do. Try dialing *22899 restart then *228 option 2. Seems like a provider issue.

I had tried the *228, but not option 2. (its about roaming so I didn't see how that matters)

However now I do - There is a setting that says do not search for texts when roaming - and apparently my phone thought I was roaming until I did this update.

I also did the *22899

What is that and how is it different than *228?

I thought *22899 had something to do with data....could be wrong.

The 22899 does both activate and roaming I think. Just bypasses the prompts to hit 1 or 2.
