cannot get latest moto drivers to install when phone is in bootlooader.

My phone started as a droidx on froyo updated to 2part gingerbread rooted. tasted it. not to my liking. looking to go back to .340 downloaded file. dam motodrivers wont install I plug the phone in during clockmod recovery screen. tried it on xp and win7. gettin bumbed out. thanks

can I use the linux rsdlite boot repair cd explained here (w3.droidxforums.com/forum/droid-x-sbf/23638-linux-solution-your-windows-rsd-lite-problems.html) to go from gingerbread .602 back to .340. I did flash "d2 bootrecovery" instead of "dx recovery" is that a possible reason why I cant get the drivers to load when phone is bootedup or inrecovery?

Well, as far as RSD Lite goes, you install the Moto drivers to your PC before the DX is connected. Yes, you can use that live cd to get back to .340 it's likely going to be easier than RSD lite.
