cannot delete app icon at bottom of screen

I have an app icon at the bottom of my screen. It is different from the regular app icon. It is a circle with 6 dots in it and it says Apps underneath. I don't know how it got there and I cannot delete it. I have tried dragging it up and it will not move like a regular shortcut will.

Anyone have any ideas how to delete it ?

That is your App Drawer and I believe it is locked so that it cannot be moved or deleted. Came with ics upgrade.

Yep have to install an after market launcher to customize that kind of thing.
