Does the incredible support Wifi N speeds or not? I see conflicting reports, some sites only report b/g while others say b/g/n. What does the included manual/box/phone say?

earlier reports speculated wireless N, verizon website says only b/g. Its probably the same chip as nexus one where a software upgrade will be needed to unlock wireless N.

My brother has a 300m N network at his place (my house is all wired, which is why i dont bother with N). Ill let you know when i go over there.

As far as I can see, No it doesn't. I received it today and I have an N router at my office, it connected to it as G. I also have N at home and just got here and it is also connected as G, not N. So looks like wireless-N is out...for now. I read there's a fix coming for the Nexus One so maybe we'll get one. Not a showstopper for me.

It is stated on the HTC web page that it is "B" and "G" only---no "N". I received my Incredible aaaaaaaaaatoday---a day early----I am very overwelmed trying to learn how to use a SmartPhone for the first time in my life, but after a few hours I have loaded my pictures and music on it, created my email addresses and phone numbers and set up my email connections and managed to send out many emails with pictures. I found the manual a little sketchy. I still cannot find "speed dial". But, this phone is amazing. I am an obvious newbee.

The manual 206 pages online (page 202) specifications list it is N. Wi-Fi IEEE 802.11 b/g/n

Will receive the unit in an hour and may have more information.

No, there is no manual, just a Tips, Hints and Shortcuts book. No specs on the box. This pic is the only mention of wireless connecting.

There is a manual for the Droid Incredible on Verizon's Support Site. I just can't find it right now. It's titled Your Droid Incredible User's Guide

Here is the URL for the DROID INCREDIBLE MANUAL of 206 pages. Very helpful.

I think it can support N but has not been released to doso. Just like the N1. I think it may be a battery issue or something. But yea, the chip is capable of N but will operate as b,g.

Verizon disabled N WiFi. It does not work (I have N in my home). We hope that the upcoming 2.2 update will fix this problem.
