Can someone recommend a good email applications for Droid

I have been a long time user of BlackBerry (since 98 - first edition) and recently purchased the Moto Droid on Verizon.

Can anyone recommend a good email application that allows to search, sort by sender/date, etc. Like a normal email application should work. The Droid email is very limited

I dont mind paying for something if it works

is anybody out there know which carriers will be carrying the Droid in Canada? I am holding off buying the Iphone.
