Can someone help me gain root access and install safestrap?

I just got my new moto x in and I want some help with how to root it and how to install safestrap. I was really hoping I could possibly chat with someone over skype, AIM, or gtalk and have them walk me through it. I am on 4.2.2 firmware and have ready the guides on XDA and other places, but am still really confused, I guess I am too use to the Galaxy route of rooting.
