Can my Droid 3 emoticons be Androids?

I had a Droid1, and loved how the emoticons were little androids. On my Droid3, they are just regular smileys. Is there a way I can change it so that they appear as Android emoticons? Is that due to Motoblur?
I did do a search, but can't find anything that specifically addresses changing the appearance of the emoticons.
