Can MetroPCS android phones be flashed / Unlocked to serve other carriers?

Hey guys,

I know we can flash AT&T phones and Verizon phones , so that they can be used for MetroPCS. But thats not what I am after. As of today, my MetroPCS connection is terminated. And I want to use my LG motion 4G phone from metro, to be used for AT&T. Can I unlock/ flash my LG phone.

I asked MetroPCS and they said they cant do it, and that they dont do it anymore. So can I jailbreak my stupid phone or am I stuck with it?
