Can a rooted Verizon Droid RAZR use CISCO anyconnect or Entree pro?

I just purchased a RAZR with the intention of using anyconnect with it to vpn into work while away from my desk.

I should have done more research, it's not happening with anyconnect and Entree Pro did not work either. I think I need root
for both, but if root does not help this issue, then I really don't want to do it. I'm reading that there could be some missing files or
possible hooks in the RAZR OS for Anyconnect style VPN to work. I'm happy with the phone otherwise, except
I don't understand yahoo mail, it keeps showing emails I deleted from my computer even after a refresh. The battery life is
not great either. I got a pretty nice bundle from costco, hdmi cable, hdmi doc, 32gb microSD and a couple chargers for $239
so to heck with work if rooting does not help oh well, I'm keeping it.

I would root the phone if there is low risk and I was sure anyconnect or Entree would work.

Not sure if this stuff helps:

System 6.11.748.XT912.Verizon.en.US
Android 2.3.5
Kernel 2.6.35.7-ge88eaad
Build 6.5.1-73_DHD-11_M1-2

thanks for you help,
Mike

MCSOUL,
I have been waiting a long time and have been monitoring the Cisco forums for a couple of months now hoping they would offer a non-rooted version of AnyConnet. Not sure why, but Cisco seems to be dragging their butts on this, there are a lot of folks interested.

With that said, I have been considering rooting my Bionic for the same reason. I have been somewhat reluctant to venture off of the "stock" path in fear of not getting updates (especially when ICS become available). I did root my OG and had no problems. Interesting that you just posted this, because I may just decide, what the heck and go for it, Maybe this weekend. Stay tuned, if it works for the Bionic, I'd strongly suspect it would work for the RAZR.
