Just returned from camping in the eastern sierras and have a question re: "sync accounts". Normally I have this turned off to conserve battery life. The droid behaved as I would expect in a remote area- spotty 3g access- email and web not really working. For some reason I turned on the "sync" function on a few days into the trip and and WOW! Email and web just like I was back in civilization. I stick with verizon because of the coverage in this area of Calif. but this was pretty remarkable. Anyone have any input why turning on "sync accounts" would account for such a dramatic difference in 3g access?
