Calendar Events Disappear

I create and save an event in the calendar. It shows up as it should. I close the calendar app and a while later if I open it the event is often gone, as though never created. What's going on?

I am also having similar issue .

I always use the phone calendar for my meetings. I also downloaded the 'IRT' calendar thinking it wll work but for now nothing is working as far as putting events and agenda ...​

Searched also some forums but it appears that no resolution?

Bump. Same issue with my Droid2 Global, have missed several important appointments because of this. WTF?? Plus events that I enter as "all day" do not put a "blue bar" in the day shown on the month view.
