Calander Notifications?

I am on DroidX
So I am using google calendar with pure grid calendar widget. I make my calendars on Google on my PC then sync my X, everything works great except... it does not give me notifications when my events come up, no ringtone, no vibrate, no notification bar icon... i tried setting reminders 5 min before but it ignores those too...

From the stock calendar app i press menu>More+>Settings
Then - Set alerts & notifications > Status bar notification
-Select ringtone>android system>Default
-Vibrate>Always
-Default reminder time>5min

Yet, like I said before, no notification bar icon, no ringtone, no vibrate...
Am I missing something?
Please HELP! And thank you in advance!

So I figured it out by myself... in case anyone else has issues, here:
First off...

From homescreen Press
Menu>Settings>Applications>Manage Applications-
Filter>All>Calander Storage>Clear Data &Clear Cache if available.
*This will delete all calander info off phone so MAKE SURE you have everything saved on Google Calander!!!!!

Now From Homescreen Press
Menu>Settings>Accounts>Google
Then i tapped sync calendar 2 times
once to turn sync off
twice to tun it back on

In stock calendar:
Press menu button>more+>calendars
Then i tapped each calendar 3 times.
once to make invisible
twice to un-sync
& a third time to re-sync and make visible again

For some reason after i re-synced, notifications- popped up in notification bar, vibrated, and sounded the ringtone i chose!
