Cached/junk files

I've noticed this a lot lately on my phone and tablet. Large amounts of junk files. Are others getting this also? I'm seeing it on my phone and tablet. Every few days. I don't ever recall if being this bad in past years.

It does seem that cached data / cached files pile up faster these days. I don't remember seeing such large numbers on my phone and tablet in such short time frames.

Mine are out of control. Nearly 1GB every 5 days or so

Notice there have been a lot of apps updating lately. maybe that is it. I cleared my cache partition the other day and it looked like there was over a gig there.

Thanks for the heads up. I will check to see if I have junk files too...

I think a big part of this is the apps we install & use. I checked my phone this morning and had around 500MB of cached files. It's been about a week since I last checked, cleared them and rebooted. On my wifes phone, she will have a GB (give or take) a week most of the time. Maybe it's Facebook and the game apps that are on her phone that cause more cached files?

How do you get to that screen Miller showed to view these files

On Moto phones go to Settings > Storage > Internal. Let it load (it takes 10 - 30 seconds) and then Cached Data displays how much cached data you have. Tap Cached Data and you are prompted with a question if you want to clear it
