If you're goin that big on GPU, might aswell go bigger on CPU. Get 3rd gen i7 3770 or 3770K with an Asus Z77 mobo
Get 16GB Corsair Vengeance instead of 8. (not much difference in price)
I'd also get the Corsair 750 watt Power supply over the 650 watt.

I was thinking of building a new gaming rig and here's my mock build wishlist : (I'm probably going to go GTX 680 instead though)

I thought about an i7 but there's really not much of a difference between the i7 and i5 except price, but I may wait for an 3rd Gen i5. Ill check out that mobo, its backwards compatible with sandy bridge isnt it? And I also figure if I want more ram I'll just pick up 2 more sticks of vengeance and pop em in. Still thinking about a bigger psu...idk yet, on a little bit of a budget and a high end gpu was a must.

May have to look at that hdd you have there. The one I looked at is a 1tb Seagate barracuda for 99 bucks. $10 bucks more for another tb don't sound bad at all. And ima little hooked on the case I found...you should check it out, its pretty sweet. Anyway, my whole thing adds up to about $1504 and I don't wanna go up to much more. Lol

Just checked out that mobo. Its pretty nice. Might get one just b/c I could upgrade in the future to ivy bridge and its one of the few I've seen with wifi. Thanks for the help. Its appreciated.

Definitely worth it for one more TB

Yeah those mobos are sweet and backwards compatible.

Just out of curiosity...what website did you find those parts on?

Tiger Direct, I usually go NewEgg for 1-2 items because I live in cali and I get taxed so for a big build, no tax from Tiger Direct is better for me.

I actually just compared prices on Amazon on my build, and prices are pretty much the same with Tiger Direct if not a little cheaper so I might just go Amazon.

Good luck on your build!

I would re-think the POWER SUPPLY

I though about it but I don't plan on sli or anything anytime soon b/c that means I'll have money(lol) I figure if I want another card and I can afford one I'll just get a better psu. But I don't see that happening anytime soon.
