Bricked Phone...Please Help!!

I installed GPA 12 yesterday and it was runny pretty glitchy all day. Last night it froze up, so I had to pull out the battery.

Now it won't even turn on. I went to Verizon (Didn't tell them I rooted) and they told me there's nothing they can do about it.

NEED HELP!!! Anyone know what I can do?!?!

If it won't turn on, it's bricked. I'd try plugging into a charger for a few hours to be sure.

Now what I don't understand is why Verizon said there was nothing they can do about it. You have a warranty for 1 year, they should have given you another phone. It would be a refurb and have to be FedEx more then likely but they shouldn't have said there was nothing they can do about it.

I just got off the phone with Verizon and they said having insurance automatically extends your warranty, so I'm good. They also weren't very happy that the store told me there was nothing they could do.

I had it plugged in overnight.

Do you have a droid 2??

If so then you tried to put a D1 ROM on a D2. That's what killed your phone. They are in no way compatible. Also please don't cross post.

My computer recognizes it and installs a driver, but I can't find it under my computer.

It's a D1.

Ok....well does the charging light come on when you plug it in?

And what were the steps you used to install the ROM?

Not your bad, I think you posted in the D2 section. I moved you to D2 rooted help, now you are where you should be.

+1
Have a buddy with a D1 or D2 to see if your battery just needs a needs a few mv.... or take it back into Verizon & do it there.

I installed GPA10 when it came out wiping with ROM Manager, then updated to GPA11 and 12 without wiping.

It was working yesterday after updating, it just bit glitchy. Then it froze up and I pulled the battery to restart it and voila! nothing.

When I plug it into the computer the white light comes on and stays on and windows downloaded some drivers or something. (Was to quick to read it) But it doesn't show up in My Computer. I got RSD Lite and an SBF file, but not sure what to do.

Could be a dead battery....plug it into the wall for a while and see if it'll boot then. Usb isn't enough to jump start a dead battery.

If I plug it into the wall the white light does not come on. BUT if I plug it into the wall AND pull the battery, the white light flashes.

But when I plug it into the computer, the white light stays on.

Try from another computer. See if it shows up there. May have to install drivers.

Im gonna leave it charging from the computer for awhile, I tried leaving all night on the wall charger last night. I have a feeling it won't make a difference though because my battery wasn't dead when the phone died and the store tried a different battery.
