Bootstrap Issues

I am new. And yes, I have been trying to search for the answer myself (for over an hour).
I have successfully rooted my phone and have backed everything up. I am now ready to load a new ROM.
I got the bootstrap app from the android market.
When I try to boot into the Clockwork Recovery, it doesn't work. It will only boot into the regular "Android system recovery <3e> screen. Towards the bottom of the screen it says "E:Can't open /cache/recovery/command"

I have found lots of people with the same issue but in completely different circumstances and have not found an answer.

Can anyone help me out?
Awesome Forum!

Thanks!

Ok, there should be two buttons when you open the bootstrap application... Are you tapping the top button first and waiting for the "success" message?

Yep. I am doing exactly that. I wait for the 'success' and then I press the 2nd one and it just reboots into the screen I described before. Ugh. I am SOOOO close!!! I just can't get this part!

Try uninstalling and reinstalling the bootstrap application. And make sure you grant it root access.
