bootloader d2.3 Error

Phone was plugged in charging; dead; won't boot up or turn on and beforehand I got: error code bootloader d2.37.

Any clues?

Try using a different battery or the kind of charger that you take the battery out and plug it in. It won't charge in the bootloader.

Thanks. Using the Desktop Dock and it booted up and is charging.

What would have caused this?

Not sure why but if the battery dies completely it will boot into the bootloader
