I just bought a Bolt, Im coming from an OG1 Rooted, I am wondering, is the Bolt going to get an OT update soon does anyone know??

Bob

Be careful what you wish for, most of the updates have been really buggy.
There is one due soon, not sure on a date. You should get 2.3x

is there a one step root for the Bolt?...I had my OG1 rooted...loved it...it will make me a good backup phone.....

Yes there is if you have a bolt with GB you have to root your phone with revolution its the only way to root it and its easy. Go to YouTube and type (how to root htc thunderbolt easy) and get the video that has revolution root. Once done go to market and get Rom manager. Clockmodrecovery on from Rom manager.

Sorry I your still on 2.2.1 fryo. But you can use revolution to root. I'm using Bamf s.o.a.b sense 3.5 and it rocks. You will have to flash your radio also because that will give GB. Plus you may have voice mail notification problems I use google voice.

Check your phone setting to what version you have if you have 2.3.4 you have GB. If you have 2.2.0 you have fryo. I'm rooted using S.O.A.B sense 3.5 and it rocks.

My phone actually still says its running 2.2.1

I also had the paid version of pdanet on my OG1 working for when I wanted to browse the net with the laptop...I was wondering if that app would work with an unrooted TBolt? I think not maybe..
