BlueAnt Q2 Challenges

I have a “BlueAnt Q2” Bluetooth headset for my Droid 2 Global; for all intense and purposes the BlueAnt Q2 is a great headset.

But with 2 very irritating challenges; 1) It will turn itself off then back on for no apparent reason, and 2) It was will state “No phone available” and break the Bluetooth connection. I thought it might be a distance challenge; but it happens even when I am holding my droid in my hands, not 18 inches away.

Questions:
-Is the BlueAnt Q2 not a good choice for my droid and/or not a good choice period.

-What if any is a better Bluetooth choice for my droid; I have heard about “Jawbone”, “Plantronics”, “Motorola”, etc….which is a better choice for my droid?

Seems that the BlueAnt Q2 “All in one design” is a great phone, but with a few rough edges that have to ironed out.

Any help or ideas will be greatly appreciated………

Unless you've been having other BT problems on your phone, I'm gonna vote for defective Q2. BT headsets should work at distances of 10+ ft when they work properly. I can actually walk to the other side of my house with one of mine...

Try a buddy's BT headset to make sure it's not the phone, and exchange the Q2 for another one.

That's a question that involves a lot of subjective preference. Google reviews and decide for yourself. However, I strongly suggest contacting Blueant support. What you're experiencing isn't normal.
